Sensei Ernő Kis 4. Dan

My creed

I believe that Kyokushin karate is not just a martial art, but a path that shapes a person—not only physically, but also mentally and in character. I have been walking this path since 1976, and I am still learning from it. Every training session, every fight, and every student I have worked with has contributed to who I am today.

I am convinced that karate does not discriminate. Age, background, or initial abilities do not matter—all that matters is whether someone is willing to embark on this journey. The first steps may be uncertain, but every movement, every exercise brings us closer to the strength that lies within all of us.

I believe that Kyokushin is not just about perfecting punches and kicks. The fight begins with ourselves – pushing our limits, perseverance, discipline, humility. A true fighter is not someone who never falls, but someone who always gets back up.

As a coach and mentor, my goal is not only to impart technical knowledge, but also to preserve the spirit. Kagami Dojo is more than just a gym—it is a place where people learn to trust themselves, respect others, and where every training session is another step toward becoming the best version of themselves.

I believe that the path I am walking will never end. Every new student, every new struggle, every new challenge continues to shape me. Karate is not a goal to be achieved – it is a lifelong journey of development that always teaches, always tests, and always opens new paths before us.
